It’s HERE! Your Chance To Win $500

Bless a Homeschooler Giveaway 600x600I am so grateful to be a part of this amazing giveaway for homeschooling families. Along with a wonderful group of other homeschool bloggers, I am giving away $500 to help you pay for that shiny new curriculum, that Costco bulk Sharpie pack you’ve had your eye on, or your Starbucks run for 100 mornings! However you want to blow the wad, it’s fine by me!

All you’ve got to do is leave a blog post comment & tell us a bit about how you homeschool, and then, you’ll unlock a whole slew of ways to win entries! One of those is to ‘like’ Six More Summers on facebook, and I hope you will! I share lots of great articles, inspiring photos and anything that makes me laugh out loud!

As the school year begins and we are all trying to make ends meet while actually feeding our kids something other than popsicles, and considering the fact that all their jeans look like waders… I’m so pumped that someone will be blessed with an extra $500 in the budget this month! Best of luck to you! I really hope you win!

~ Amy

We have 5 children and four of them are homeschooled right now. My husband has an auto immune disease and is having some other health problems. So this would help us greatly as I have no material for my 8th grader yet. Though I know that Jesus will provide no matter what.

Started kindergarten somewhat officially with my 4 year old. I guess I’ve been homeschooling her since she’s been born. I just play lots of ways with her that get her thinking. This year I purchased a curriculum from a kindergarten teacher and helps me keep organized but I don’t follow it 100%.I put a lot of my own ideas. With $500 it would help finally get started with fixing the basement so we can have more space or purchase a sand and water table or purchase a class for her to meet other peers.

This would be an amazing giveaway to win! We are a pastor’s family and when my husband moved from youth pastor to lead pastor we chose for me to stop working part-time so we could focus our attention on ministry and our children. Anything extra is a huge help. :)

We would use it to defray the cost of homeschooling! We have three children – the twins are in Foundations and Essentials, and our older child is in Challenge A this year, so the cost has really gone up. We’re also going to try to become debt-free. This would be a great help and an encouragement on our journey!

We homescool with the classical way of teaching. We just moved to a new state and there is not a CC community close enough for us to be a part of. We are sad about this. So we will be doing our best to have our own CC at home. The money wouldcome in real handy for a white board & supplies to make the year go a little smoother. We will be doing Challenge A this year, your blog has really helped A Lot! Thank you!

We have homeschooled since fall of 2000, when the oldest of our four kids was five years old. Homeschooling has been one of the best choices we made for our family. In the early years we were more eclectic with unit studies, and file folder games etc. As the children grew, we did a modified Classical approach using The Well Trained Mind as a model. We dabbled with the Robinson Curriculum for a couple years — and now have become part of a Classical Conversations community over the past two years. Two of my sons have now graduated from CC. One son and one daughter are still in homeschool.

Thank you for all the wonderful Challenge A support material you have on this blog. My daughter (youngest child) is Challenge A this year. We have both gained from reading your articles.

What a great giveaway! I would use the $500 for new shoes and winter coats. If there is any leftover, an e-reader for school books (save so much space)!

We use an eclectic approach to homeschool – just tackling each subject as they come along & gather as much info/doing as many projects as we can. & many, many trips to the library!!!

My daughter is looking forward to our Latin Dates as we look forward to starting our Challenge A year. She was reluctant, to say the least, when I proposed Classical Conversations. Now she’s telling me that Latin may not be as hard as she thought! And we’ve only had two dates. This would go to pay for those coffees and goodies as we make our way through 32 coffee shops, cafes, and restaurants. The extra will go to pay for reward parties for my Challenge A kiddos. And maybe an occasional pizza when I just don’t have time to make dinner because of prepping for Challenge A!

This would be a blessing because it would help us to make day field trips and learn hands on. Williamsburg would be an awesome place to visit for a day or two and soak up the history.

This is our first year homeschooling and we are just getting back on our feet financially after multiple layoffs and part time jobs so this would be a huge blessing as I could purchase some items that I think would really enrich our learning but I just can’t afford right now (I am homeschooling using very cheap and a majority of free materials right now)
